Origin and application of pneumatic ball valves

Pneumatic ball valve is a ball valve with pneumatic actuator, pneumatic actuator implementation speed is relatively fast, the fastest switching speed of 0.05 seconds per second, so usually also called pneumatic quick shutoff ball valve. Pneumatic ball valves are usually equipped with various accessories, such as solenoid valves, air source treatment triple, limit switches, positioners, control boxes, etc., to achieve on-site control and remote centralized control, in the control room can control the valve on and off, do not need to run to the scene or high altitude and dangerous areas to control manually, to a large extent. Pneumatic ball valves can be closed tightly by operating at 90 degrees with a pneumatic actuator and with very little torque. Perfectly equal valve body cavity provides a very small and direct flow passage for the medium. It is generally believed that ball valves are most suitable for direct opening and closing. The main feature of the ball valve is its compact structure, easy operation and maintenance, suitable for water, solvent, acid and natural gas and other general working media, but also suitable for working conditions of poor media, such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene. The ball valve body can be integral or modular.
The pneumatic ball valve is evolved from the stopcock. It has the same 90-degree rotation motion, but the different is that the cock is a sphere with a circular through-hole or passage through its axis. The ratio between the sphere and the port should be such that when the sphere rotates 90 degrees, the inlet and outlet should be all spherical, thus cutting off the flow. Valves of this type can be installed at any position in the pipeline.
Pneumatic ball valve works by rotating the spool to make the valve unblocked or blocked. Pneumatic ball valve switch is light, small size, can be made into a large caliber, sealing reliable, simple structure, easy maintenance, sealing surface and sphere are often in a closed state, not easy to be eroded by media, widely used in various industries.
Pneumatic ball valve and plug valve belong to the same type of valve, only its closing piece is a ball, the ball around the center line of the valve body for rotation to open and close a valve.

6. When the ball and the valve seat are fully opened or closed, the sealing surface is separated from the medium. When the medium passes, it will not cause the erosion of the valve sealing surface.
7. Wide range of application, from small to a few millimeters in diameter, to a few meters in diameter, from high vacuum to high pressure can be used.
8. because pneumatic ball valve power source uses gas, generally 0.2-0.8MPa pressure, relatively safe. If the pneumatic ball valve leaks, the gas can be discharged directly from the air, compared with the hydraulic and electric valve, which has no pollution to the environment, and has higher safety.
9. Pneumatic ball valves can be configured in large calibers as opposed to manual and turbine-operated ball valves (manual and turbine-operated ball valves are generally below DN300 calibers, and pneumatic ball valves can be up to DN1200 calibers).
