Introduction to antifreeze and maintenance of valves
In winter, the temperature drops rapidly, and the valve often freezes. At this time, if it is not handled, the pipeline will be prone to failure. Accidents may also occur under some high-risk conditions. Therefore, antifreeze treatment of valves is very important.
Before the temperature drops, it is necessary to conduct an all-round thermal insulation work on the valve device to make "winter preparation".
According to the size of the valve, use a utility knife to cut appropriate insulation cotton. Then use the vice to cut the wire to be bound. When wrapping the insulation cotton, tear the insulation cotton a little to make it bypass the valve handle and better wrap the valve body. After wrapping the insulation cotton, fix it with iron wire.
In the process of use, if it is found that there is freezing phenomenon and it cannot operate normally, it is prohibited to knock the valve with a wrench or other heavy objects. The correct way is to close the valve, defrost the valve with steam or hot water, and then open the valve.
If the valve is not used for a long time, the medium in the pipeline shall be completely removed to prevent the pipeline and valve from freezing. It is the duty and responsibility of every enterprise to ensure safe production. The valve antifreeze can be either big or small. We must not create an irreparable situation due to temporary carelessness.
Anti freezing measures should also be taken in different regions. There is no small difference between the north and the south. According to the characteristics of winter and the actual situation of the project, anti freezing measures should be taken for boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipes and their auxiliary valves, and safety relief devices in winter, and the measures should be implemented.
For the parts that are easy to cause frost crack, daily inspection shall be strengthened. Pay close attention to the sudden sharp cooling weather, take insulation and response measures in advance, and use insulation materials to strengthen the insulation of the device.
The water in the equipment that has been shut down or overhauled must be drained to avoid frost cracking; Pressure vessels that may contain water in the medium shall be drained regularly, and the drain valve shall be insulated at the same time; Check the drainage of the steam pipeline, and at the same time, properly insulate the drain valve and pipeline; The leaching down pipe of the chemical system needs thermal insulation; The safety valves on boilers, pressure vessels and pressure pipes shall be insulated to avoid freezing and failure; During the hydrostatic test, pay attention to the heat preservation, especially the antifreeze of the thinner pipes; When the ambient temperature is low, liquid level gauge shall be installed on the pressure vessel that is easy to freeze or steam tracing pipe shall be installed on the pressure pipeline, and attention shall be paid to the smooth flow of steam.
It should be noted that if the pipeline is frozen, the valve that cannot be opened and closed cannot be opened and closed by force. The frozen crack valve should be purchased urgently, and the maintenance team should be arranged to bake the pipe.
